Kohjinsha rebrands UMID M1 as PM series

Kohjinsha_pm

More commonly associated with convertible UMPCs like the SC3 series, Kohjinsha has decided to forgo the swiveling touchscreen this time around with its new PM series, a compact clamshell that is really nothing more than a rebranded version of one of the lower spec'd UMID mbook M1 devices. All that Kohjinsha is offering for 59,800 yen (~$643), then, is a 1.1GHz Intel Atom processor, 512MB RAM, 16GB SSD, Windows XP, 4.8-inch WSVGA touchscreen, and 1.3-megapixel webcam.

Yeah, compared to the 1.3GHz CPU, 32GB SSD, built-in 3G, and matte black casing you can get under the UMID brand instead, there isn't a whole lot to get excited about here.
