UMID M1 mbook MID available for preorder (sort of)

Australia-based Justek, the "ultimate online computers and accessories" store, is now accepting preorders for the Atom-based UMID M1 I spent some time with at CES 2009 and has it priced at AU$1399 (~$924).

When I spoke to a company representative at CES about the device's availability and pricing in the US, I was told that it was expected in June for a price that hadn't been determined but that was "not too expensive." Straight conversions aren't always the best way to estimate regional prices, but the info still can't be welcome news for those who feel the UMID's release can't come soon enough. Then again, maybe it's these same people who contributed to the unreleased device's "sold out" status (visible only when adding the unit to your cart).
