Palm makes Centro smartphone official
After months of speculation, leaked details, and blurry photos, the Palm Centro was finally deemed official today at DigitalLife in New York.
Available for preorder tomorrow, the $99 smartphone is expected to be released through Sprint on October 14 in ruby red and onyx black. Measuring 4.22" x 2.11" x 0.73" and weighing in at just 4.2 ounces, the Centro is Palm's smallest and lightest phone to date.
Other highlights of the Palm OS (Garnet 5.4.9) device include EV-DO mobile broadband connectivity, microSD card slot, Bluetooth 1.2, and 1.3-megapixel digital camera.
