Haier tablet-style portable DVD player
Yikes! Haier should stick with slapping its name on OEM designs because this new HPD-UMPDP7 portable DVD player is downright appalling.
Not that it's all about looks, of course. Because actually, looks aside, the 7-inch player isn't too bad: in addition to standard CD and DVD compatibility (including +/- R and RW), there's also an SD/MMC/MS card slot for storing and playing MP3s and movies in MPEG4 format and a USB port for . . . well, frankly, I have no idea. Hooking up an external hard drive? Using it as a memory card reader when plugged into a computer? Charging via USB? Sneaking into the device to somehow remove those eye-offending stereo speakers?
