H9 Linux UMPC at CeBIT 2007
Good news. The price for the H9 Linux UMPC is dropping. Last month, I was told that you (and 499 of your friends) could get the Chinese device for $490 apiece. Today, Akihabara News is reporting a lower $430 when you and just 199 friends place an order.

This latest bit about pricing comes from the exec at the company's CeBIT booth, where a fellow named Charbax recorded some footage (below) of the H9 in action.
The booth guy doesn't seem too keen on the device being manhandled, but he still gives a very brief demo of the UI.
The URL printed on the bottom of the CeBIT banner, www.peace-east.com, automatically redirects to porient.com, which doesn't have any new information on it. Word is that the H9 will go into mass production at the end of March.
