Prada's pink Asus S6F laptop

Pinkasuss6fThe limited edition Asus S6F notebook computer rumored (since January 2006) to be part of a joint venture with Italian fashion house Prada will finally see the light of day. And when they say "limited," they mean limited.

Just in time for Christmas, a mere 50 notebooks will make their way onto the catwalk wearing a pink leather lid, cowhide wrist rests, 11.1-inch widescreen display, and $2500 price tag. Under that will be a 1.66GHz Core Duo processor, 120GB hard drive, up to 2GB of RAM, and DVD burner. And at 3.3 pounds, the S6F won't be seen in any tabloids under headlines of a suspected eating disorder.

I don't know how or why Prada became involved with Asus. I mean, out of all the companies for the epitome of high fashion to link arms with, they chose one that's synonymous to most people with "Who?" Weird. And I find it very strange that nowhere on the S6F is a Prada logo.
